I think Capello will take Walcott, he seems to like him. He picked him for the Egypt friendly even though he was in poor form for Arsenal. Upfront Crouch, Rooney and Defoe have to go, as for the fourth that's more of a mystery but he seems to prefer Heskey to Bent or Carlton Cole.
What about Owen Hargreaves, maybe he could make a late push (very unlikely I know but you can't rule anything out), and Joe Cole should go if he's fit and playing well as he adds so much to the squad. Unfortunately Gerrard and Lampard will both go and start even though we looked more threatening without them against Egypt.
The left back position is Leighton Baines' if he stays fit and Cashley loses his own fitness battle and Glen Johnson will probably take the right back slot as there aren't really any other out and out right backs out there who have international experience.

The Semis would be a great result Ducky22 for a team that has under achieved in every World Cup since Italia90. Rooney is the key and your right about Cole his injuries have been a problem but he is still class and could be the key to unlocking a tight door

Where has Joe Cole gone, he can be Englands match winner and we need him back fit. SWP and Lennon when fit i think will take the RM slot and leave Beckham to be super sub, a bit like that egg kicker wilkinson, just have becks for free-kicks and corners. Rooney is the key to Capello's plans if he stays fit we might make it to the semis and maybe further

If Gerrard was any other player then he would be dropped by now. And it seems everyone has forgot about that france match. Capello should give Carrick or Barry a chance and develop a young squad. Crouch shold be on the plane as for starting maybe a bit much but f he carrys on then he has a good chance. The LB position maybe a headache but if Baines keeps playing well for Everton then he should have a god chance. It seems Joe Coles injury hit season could end with him not being on the plane, i think he should go as he can play in a number of positions and is always good for a goal

For me Crouch has to start esp with the early group games. Crouch has a proven record against the minnows and could fire us to the last 16 and then let the established players take over and finish the job. As for Gerrard how many bad games can he have before he gets dropped. He was the one that cost us victory against france and needs dropping for some younger blood who will make the place their own for the future.

So with the England friendly over and done with it seems Capello may have a few footballing problems he needs to sort out. Wayne Rooney is the number one striker but who is number two and with Crouch saving his blushes has he jumped up the pecking order? Secondly Steven Gerrard;he might be Liverpool's best player but when he wears those three lions his form disappears and once again it was another sub that made England more solid across the middle.
South Afrcia isnt too far away now and I want to know who do you think should be going, who has been overlooked, and who has no chance? So lets have fun and remember we all want the same outcome victory in South Africa.
