It has happened in the PL before, nno-one can forget the Roy Carroll incident, that was just plain ridiculous. I agree that two extra officials is pointless, look at the Fulham game in the Europa League against Roma when the extra linesman, who was metres away from it advised the referee to send the wrong player off.
Cricket and Rugby work fine with video replays, the game isn't affected at all in fact it adds to the drama of it all. Goal line technology is the only way to go. How old fashioned is FIFA if it refuses to embrace the latest advances for the good of the game.
It would have to be regulated to stop it getting overused in a match but it is definitely workable

I`d much rather have goal line technology than 2 extra linesmen – too many cooks if you ask me!

FIFA and the Premier League will soon chnage their minds when a decision goes against them or e.g. with france or somebody else that wears adidas. I cant believe the irish FA voted aginst this but then if it gets you a friendly with Brzil then you would. All the major examples are from lower league wait untill it happens in the prem and then see the reaction it gets.

Video technology has to be used its a joke that it isnt just look at rugby and cricket they still ahve the so called human element and not only that the refs/umpires are respected. We wont get every decision right but you have to think it could only help.

It's been three weeks since FIFA announced they were scrapping the idea of goal line technology, but with another goal being given that wasn't then surely FIFA have to reconsider on what has been described as an ice age decision.
MY feelings are we need video technology the refs are getting to many decisions wrong and aren't getting any help from the supporting bodies or football/premier league. I feel some sort of referral system would work best with say each manager having two referrals for anything that happened in the penalty box.I want to know your thoughts on FIFA's decision and what would you do
